LAURIE MACKIN

Paralegal

I was born in Saint John, New Brunswick and raised in Ontario.  I am the mother of three grown boys and four grandchildren.

I have always had a strong interest in law which is why I pursued a career in the legal field immediately following school.  I obtained my Diploma in Toronto, Ontario from Herzig Institution, and quickly began my career as a Legal Assistant with a large corporate firm.

I worked for several years for two criminal law firms in Toronto.  I then received an opportunity to work for a large family law firm.  From the first day at the law office, I was captivated with assisting families during a very difficult and emotional time in their lives.

In 2022, I moved from Ontario to Riverview with two of my sons and their families, while my oldest son remained in Ontario.  I commenced working as a paralegal with Tandem Family Law in September 2022.  I am extremely excited to work at Tandem and with the men and women we have the pleasure to call our clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two sons, my four grandchildren and my extended family.
